Because third parties are involved, as example, a DNA analysis lab, strong established medical privacy practices must be implemented, along with other precautions, such as, the HlyGrail Algorithm. It is not enough to simply keep the records or charts separated from the patient information. Security experts know a hack of a database system will soon link records to individuals through key fields.

This Medical Record Patent proposes a way to create a system using the HlyGrail Algorithm which will provide constant access to the patient, but limited or restricted information to others.

In this example, let us assume we are securing a DNA report. As with all HlyGrail Algorithms, the encrypted DNA report can become the Intellectual Property File (IPF), or the hash of the encrypted DNA report will be entered into an IPF with the IPF encrypted by the HlyGrail Algorithm using the same bitcoin address. The IPF will then be entered as a blockchain transaction using the encrypted IPF and the hash code of the IPF.

The encrypted IPF will be held by the medical authority and the patient. Anyone with the encrypted IPF and the bitcoin transaction number can decode the IPF into a usable file such as a PDF. The hash in the blockchain transaction verifies the file is unchanged, and the address, decodes the encrypted file.

In the case of a highly sensitive report, such as DNA analysis, the patient needs assurance the record is safe and kept from all hacks possible.

A generic DNA report with no user information, allows research without exposing the patient. In other words, the report with the blockchain transaction number and bitcoin decoding address, would allow someone to open a file and access the data, without knowing who it is attached to.

Here is what is known and the process:

The doctor or technician, orders a test and creates a Report Reference Number, which is entered into the patient’s records to identify the report.

In the medical lab, the technician identifies the patient and the Report Reference Number. The software takes specific information from the patient records, such as their medical record ID, Name, and other specific record information, then adds a PATIENT secretly entered PIN and the Report Reference Number, to create a bitcoin address then prints the bitcoin Address as a QR CODE label for the DNA lab. The doctor does not know the bitcoin address. No one but the patient knows the PIN. The QR Code is “basically” unreadable by the technician. The patient should be provided a print of the QR Code and instructed to secretly write down their PIN to be able to recreate the bitcoin address.

This is the possible critical hack of information, because the medical facility lab technician or a software hack could match the Patient’s ID to the bitcoin address. The technician would have to write down the information, which could be protected by watching the technician, or have one technician enter the Report Reference Number and another receive the label to put on the bottle. Security software could to be added to the medical code, which could easily verify the code has not been hacked, once again using the HlyGrail Algorithm to make sure the software was unchanged before printing the label.

The DNA lab receives the DNA material and a bitcoin address from the requesting medical or other facility. The DNA lab has NO access to the individual, but can create the encrypted report along with the hash of the encrypted file, and return them to the medical facility using the bitcoin address as the ID.

The medical facility receives the encrypted DNA report and files it under the bitcoin address. Independent researchers or doctors can decode then compile extensive information and research about the DNA report and file it under the same bitcoin address. There is NOTHING in the database connecting the Patient’s data.

The patient returns to the medical facility for the results. The software uses the same ID information collected along with the Report Reference Number, and the patent enters their secret PIN to create and look up the original bitcoin address. The encrypted DNA report is sent to the doctors office identified by the Report Reference Number. (Even with the report, the patient records, and the Report Reference Number, the document cannot be decoded without the patient’s secret PIN) Once again the software would need security to ensure the Patient ID and bitcoin address were not matched and stored by a hack. This process assumes the doctor is fully trusted not to record the information and match the report.

Once in the doctors office the software can decrypt the document, either re-entering the information to create the bitcoin address, or the patient provides the QR Code of the bitcoin address. The doctor and patient can now review the DNA report. The encrypted document can be provided to the patient, for personal use and decryption.
